Alexandria Verdampfer buying advice, complete (Innokin X)

Verdampfer advice for Alexandria, covering volume tiers, what to look for and where the trade-offs actually sit.

Anyone who has compared verdampfer options in Alexandria quickly learns that specification lists only tell part of the story. Pricing in Alexandria shifts with import duty, so the figures here reflect current EGP rates rather than a fixed list price.

Budget matters in Alexandria, but with verdampfer the cheapest option is rarely the one that lasts. The included spare coils are useful for the first fortnight, after which you will be ordering your own.

In Alexandria, availability of the 1.5 Ω regular coil is the practical bottleneck, not the device itself. The mesh tip mouthpiece is comfortable over long sessions and resists the condensation that gathers on narrower tips. Comparing this against a 40:60 PG/VG setup shows the difference clearly: one favours flavour, the other favours volume.

Charging over Micro-USB takes about 43 from empty, and the pass-through means the device can be used while plugged in on the smaller batteries. Two things to check before ordering: the Micro-USB socket on the base and whether the 1.5 Ω regular coil is the newer generation. Battery behaviour is where the Robust Pro earns its keep: the 1500 mAh cell holds a usable charge for most of a day at 25 and recharges over Micro-USB.

What surprised us most was how little the 1.5 Ω regular coil changes the draw character compared with the 40:60 PG/VG liquid sitting in the chamber. The Midnight Black finish hides fingerprints far better than the gloss options, which matters more than it sounds on a device handled daily. Worth noting that the 510 thread takes a small amount of care to keep clean, which we cover in the maintenance section below.

The throat hit is noticeably firmer than a 40:60 PG/VG blend, so if you prefer a smoother draw, mix accordingly. Pricing in Alexandria shifts with import duty, so the figures here reflect current EGP rates rather than a fixed list price. Airflow control on the Robust Pro is adjustable enough to move from a warm, restrained draw to something far more open without removing the tank.

The included spare coils are useful for the first fortnight, after which you will be ordering your own. Build quality is the quiet differentiator here, with tight seams and a connector that has not loosened after repeated removal. Battery behaviour is where the Robust Pro earns its keep: the 1500 mAh cell holds a usable charge for most of a day at 25 and recharges over Micro-USB.

Flavour tracking stays consistent from the first day to roughly the 1.5 Ω regular mark before the profile flattens and a swap makes sense. Replacement coils are widely available, and the 1.5 Ω regular coil is the sensible default to keep in stock. The mesh tip mouthpiece is comfortable over long sessions and resists the condensation that gathers on narrower tips.

Flavour and performance notes

A representative profile is Cola Zero: sweet, fizzy, described as cola sweetness with a light fizz. On a 40:60 PG/VG ratio this reads clearly on the first day and holds its character to roughly the 1.5 Ω regular mark before the coil begins to mute it.

Practical considerations in Alexandria

Availability in Alexandria is the factor that decides most outcomes here. Confirm the 1.5 Ω regular and the Micro-USB are both in stock before committing, and check that the 510 thread matches your existing device if you already own hardware. Duty and EGP rates move, so treat prices as current rather than fixed.

Our advice is to order one, use it for a fortnight, and only then decide whether to stock up.
