Verdampfer reviews: tested in Alexandria (Raspberry Lemonade) (v2)

Verdampfer advice for Alexandria, covering new arrivals, what to look for and where the trade-offs actually sit.

We spent weeks putting verdampfer options through their paces so the recommendations here reflect real use. The instruction booklet is thin, but the diagrams are clear enough that most people set the device up without further help.

Finding the right verdampfer in Alexandria is easier than most catalogues make it sound. Delivery across Alexandria is typically two to four working days with tracked dispatch, and returns are straightforward within the standard window.

Pricing in Alexandria shifts with import duty, so the figures here reflect current EGP rates rather than a fixed list price. Airflow control on the Deng SQ200 is adjustable enough to move from a warm, restrained draw to something far more open without removing the tank. Vapour production is more than adequate at 150, and pushing beyond that adds heat rather than anything worth carrying.

The included spare coils are useful for the first fortnight, after which you will be ordering your own. What surprised us most was how little the 2.0 Ω regular coil changes the draw character compared with the 80:20 PG/VG liquid sitting in the chamber. The Ocean Teal finish hides fingerprints far better than the gloss options, which matters more than it sounds on a device handled daily.

Worth noting that the 510 thread takes a small amount of care to keep clean, which we cover in the maintenance section below. For budget shoppers, the learning curve is shorter than the specification list suggests, and daily use is straightforward from the first charge. If you take one thing from this page, make it the coil compatibility check. A device that needs a coil you cannot source locally becomes an expensive ornament within a month.

Two things to check before ordering: the Type-C fast charge socket on the base and whether the 2.0 Ω regular coil is the newer generation. Battery behaviour is where the Deng SQ200 earns its keep: the 800 mAh cell holds a usable charge for most of a day at 150 and recharges over Type-C fast charge. We would pair the Deng SQ200 with a 80:20 PG/VG liquid, which is where the balance between throat hit and cloud density sits most comfortably.

Charging over Type-C fast charge takes about 79 from empty, and the pass-through means the device can be used while plugged in on the smaller batteries. Comparing this against a 80:20 PG/VG setup shows the difference clearly: one favours flavour, the other favours volume. For budget shoppers, the learning curve is shorter than the specification list suggests, and daily use is straightforward from the first charge.

Specifications

These are the figures that matter day to day, and the ones worth comparing across models.

Flavour and performance notes

A representative profile is Vanilla Custard: creamy, rich, described as warm vanilla bean with a smooth cream finish. On a 80:20 PG/VG ratio this reads clearly on the first day and holds its character to roughly the 2.0 Ω regular mark before the coil begins to mute it.

Practical considerations in Alexandria

Availability in Alexandria is the factor that decides most outcomes here. Confirm the 2.0 Ω regular and the Type-C fast charge are both in stock before committing, and check that the 510 thread matches your existing device if you already own hardware. Duty and EGP rates move, so treat prices as current rather than fixed.

Take the time to get it right the first time; the difference shows up over months of use rather than days.
