Verdampfer safety basics in Alexandria (Raspberry Lemonade)
Verdampfer advice for Alexandria, covering new in, what to look for and where the trade-offs actually sit.
Local availability in Alexandria shapes the practical answer more than the marketing does. In Alexandria, availability of the 1.0 Ω mesh coil is the practical bottleneck, not the device itself.
We spent weeks putting verdampfer options through their paces so the recommendations here reflect real use. Pricing in Alexandria shifts with import duty, so the figures here reflect current EGP rates rather than a fixed list price.
The throat hit is noticeably firmer than a 55:45 PG/VG blend, so if you prefer a smoother draw, mix accordingly. Pricing in Alexandria shifts with import duty, so the figures here reflect current EGP rates rather than a fixed list price. Airflow control on the RELX Pro is adjustable enough to move from a warm, restrained draw to something far more open without removing the tank.
What surprised us most was how little the 1.0 Ω mesh coil changes the draw character compared with the 55:45 PG/VG liquid sitting in the chamber. Vapour production is more than adequate at 60, and pushing beyond that adds heat rather than anything worth carrying. Materials are unremarkable on paper and feel reassuringly solid in the hand, with no flex in the body at all.
For beginners, the learning curve is shorter than the specification list suggests, and daily use is straightforward from the first charge. If you take one thing from this page, make it the coil compatibility check. A device that needs a coil you cannot source locally becomes an expensive ornament within a month. The throat hit is noticeably firmer than a 55:45 PG/VG blend, so if you prefer a smoother draw, mix accordingly.
The build quality on RELX Pro is a step above most of what sits in the same price bracket, and the finish resists the chipping that usually shows after a few months of pocket carry. Build quality is the quiet differentiator here, with tight seams and a connector that has not loosened after repeated removal. Charging over Micro-USB takes about 43 from empty, and the pass-through means the device can be used while plugged in on the smaller batteries.
Two things to check before ordering: the Micro-USB socket on the base and whether the 1.0 Ω mesh coil is the newer generation. Battery behaviour is where the RELX Pro earns its keep: the 1000 mAh cell holds a usable charge for most of a day at 60 and recharges over Micro-USB. We would pair the RELX Pro with a 55:45 PG/VG liquid, which is where the balance between throat hit and cloud density sits most comfortably.

Flavour and performance notes
A representative profile is Coconut Pineapple: creamy, tropical, described as smooth coconut layered over pineapple. On a 55:45 PG/VG ratio this reads clearly on the first day and holds its character to roughly the 1.0 Ω mesh mark before the coil begins to mute it.
Practical considerations in Alexandria
Availability in Alexandria is the factor that decides most outcomes here. Confirm the 1.0 Ω mesh and the Micro-USB are both in stock before committing, and check that the Q-Plus matches your existing device if you already own hardware. Duty and EGP rates move, so treat prices as current rather than fixed.
Our advice is to order one, use it for a fortnight, and only then decide whether to stock up.
