Portable Users guide to Verdampfer (local) (25 W)

Verdampfer advice for Alexandria, covering support, what to look for and where the trade-offs actually sit.

Most Alexandria buyers start with a well-known brand name and then discover that fit and coil availability matter far more. If you take one thing from this page, make it the coil compatibility check. A device that needs a coil you cannot source locally becomes an expensive ornament within a month.

Most Alexandria buyers start with a well-known brand name and then discover that fit and coil availability matter far more. The wide bore mouthpiece is comfortable over long sessions and resists the condensation that gathers on narrower tips.

Comparing this against a 70:30 PG/VG setup shows the difference clearly: one favours flavour, the other favours volume. The 3.0 ml capacity is a genuinely useful middle ground: enough liquid for a long session without turning the device into a pocket problem. Expect roughly 966 full puffs from a charge at 3 mg/ml, based on average session length in our testing.

Pricing in Alexandria shifts with import duty, so the figures here reflect current EGP rates rather than a fixed list price. Airflow control on the Suorin Air Plus is adjustable enough to move from a warm, restrained draw to something far more open without removing the tank. Vapour production is more than adequate at 150, and pushing beyond that adds heat rather than anything worth carrying.

Worth noting that the magnetic contact takes a small amount of care to keep clean, which we cover in the maintenance section below. For portable users, the learning curve is shorter than the specification list suggests, and daily use is straightforward from the first charge. If you take one thing from this page, make it the coil compatibility check. A device that needs a coil you cannot source locally becomes an expensive ornament within a month.

Charging over USB-C takes about 78 from empty, and the pass-through means the device can be used while plugged in on the smaller batteries. Two things to check before ordering: the USB-C socket on the base and whether the 1.0 Ω mesh coil is the newer generation. Battery behaviour is where the Suorin Air Plus earns its keep: the 1500 mAh cell holds a usable charge for most of a day at 150 and recharges over USB-C.

We would pair the Suorin Air Plus with a 70:30 PG/VG liquid, which is where the balance between throat hit and cloud density sits most comfortably. Replacement coils are widely available, and the 1.0 Ω mesh coil is the sensible default to keep in stock. The included spare coils are useful for the first fortnight, after which you will be ordering your own.

Materials are unremarkable on paper and feel reassuringly solid in the hand, with no flex in the body at all. Delivery across Alexandria is typically two to four working days with tracked dispatch, and returns are straightforward within the standard window. The build quality on Suorin Air Plus is a step above most of what sits in the same price bracket, and the finish resists the chipping that usually shows after a few months of pocket carry.

Specifications

Every unit in the Suorin Air Plus family shares the same core platform, so the differences come down to the numbers below.

Flavour and performance notes

A representative profile is Cola Zero: sweet, fizzy, described as cola sweetness with a light fizz. On a 70:30 PG/VG ratio this reads clearly on the first day and holds its character to roughly the 1.0 Ω mesh mark before the coil begins to mute it.

Practical considerations in Alexandria

Availability in Alexandria is the factor that decides most outcomes here. Confirm the 1.0 Ω mesh and the USB-C are both in stock before committing, and check that the magnetic contact matches your existing device if you already own hardware. Duty and EGP rates move, so treat prices as current rather than fixed.

Our advice is to order one, use it for a fortnight, and only then decide whether to stock up.
