The real story of Verdampfer in Alexandria (v19)
Verdampfer advice for Alexandria, covering pricing, what to look for and where the trade-offs actually sit.
Most Alexandria buyers start with a well-known brand name and then discover that fit and coil availability matter far more. Two things to check before ordering: the Micro-USB socket on the base and whether the 0.8 Ω regular coil is the newer generation.
The gap between a mid-range and a premium verdampfer narrows once you know which components you actually use. For flavour seekers, the learning curve is shorter than the specification list suggests, and daily use is straightforward from the first charge.
For flavour seekers, the learning curve is shorter than the specification list suggests, and daily use is straightforward from the first charge. If you take one thing from this page, make it the coil compatibility check. A device that needs a coil you cannot source locally becomes an expensive ornament within a month. The throat hit is noticeably firmer than a 50:50 PG/VG blend, so if you prefer a smoother draw, mix accordingly.
The included spare coils are useful for the first fortnight, after which you will be ordering your own. What surprised us most was how little the 0.8 Ω regular coil changes the draw character compared with the 50:50 PG/VG liquid sitting in the chamber. The Sunset Orange finish hides fingerprints far better than the gloss options, which matters more than it sounds on a device handled daily.
We would pair the Vaporesso Tarot with a 50:50 PG/VG liquid, which is where the balance between throat hit and cloud density sits most comfortably. Replacement coils are widely available, and the 0.8 Ω regular coil is the sensible default to keep in stock. Two things to check before ordering: the Micro-USB socket on the base and whether the 0.8 Ω regular coil is the newer generation. Battery behaviour is where the Vaporesso Tarot earns its keep: the 2000 mAh cell holds a usable charge for most of a day at 120 and recharges over Micro-USB. We would pair the Vaporesso Tarot with a 50:50 PG/VG liquid, which is where the balance between throat hit and cloud density sits most comfortably.
The build quality on Vaporesso Tarot is a step above most of what sits in the same price bracket, and the finish resists the chipping that usually shows after a few months of pocket carry. Build quality is the quiet differentiator here, with tight seams and a connector that has not loosened after repeated removal. The Sunset Orange finish hides fingerprints far better than the gloss options, which matters more than it sounds on a device handled daily.

Flavour and performance notes
A representative profile is Grape Frost Breeze: sweet, fruity, described as dark grape with a cool, brisk finish. On a 50:50 PG/VG ratio this reads clearly on the first day and holds its character to roughly the 0.8 Ω regular mark before the coil begins to mute it.
Practical considerations in Alexandria
Availability in Alexandria is the factor that decides most outcomes here. Confirm the 0.8 Ω regular and the Micro-USB are both in stock before committing, and check that the 510 bottom pin matches your existing device if you already own hardware. Duty and EGP rates move, so treat prices as current rather than fixed.
Take the time to get it right the first time; the difference shows up over months of use rather than days.
